Lyceum International School was founded by Dr. Mohan Lal Grero in 1993 with the vision of providing quality English -medium education from Pre-school to grade 12. This institution began with just seven students and four teachers. Now it has grown into the largest network of international schools in Sri Lanka serving over 23, 000 students in total and continuing to develop.
The Lyceum Academy was established, as part of the Lyceum network. What began with just one student but now, has rapidly grown to serve more than 2000 students, which reflects its commitment towards academic excellence.
The Lyceum Academy (Private) Limited was the novel addition to the Lyceums educations, established in 2022. The Academy delivers coaching classes, professional courses and short courses designed for the students aged 5 and above.
Our courses are open for both Lyceum students and students from other schools. Classes are conducted on an island-wide basis through multiple LIS branch schools, after school hours and on weekends ensuring convenient access for students. We are currently conducting classes and programmes at the following locations:
Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Wattala, Panadura, Kurunegala, Nuwara Eliya, Anuradhapura, Rathnapura, and Avissawella.
